As the nights draw shorter and a blanket of snow covers the lands, those that still celebrate the traditional festivals from Ispar can be seen in the towns and amongst the peoples of Dereth. The followers of Tirius the Lightbringer, Solvus Mistdweller, and the Dark Lady Meerthus can be found distributing food and blessings about the Aluvian towns, whilst the Gharun'dim celebrate the Night Feast and share food, wine, company and story amongst the villagers. The Sho still honour the teachings of Jojii during this time of celebration and festival, and the once-gluttonous Festival of Lights has grown moderated by wisdom to become the celebration it is now.
For those not celebrating the winter festivals of the season, more quests and adventures await the explorers of Dereth! Firstly, Nuhmudira is believed to be responsible for the appearance of the strange Gift Boxes in town. For those Isparians who still think her worthy of trust, we present the notes of Sureshot al-Mord, which offer guidance though the tasks required to obtain access to the contents of the boxes.
Those new to the land and wielding an axe may be interested in the Bellig and Syliph Towers, where the Hammer of Lightning can be found, as chronicled by Ibn Schachabo. Finally, Loka Wu has provided information regarding an enigmatic Virindi artefact known as the Shackles of Obedience, which can be found in the Stable Rift near Rithwic.
